One of the best moments during library class is when students are excitedly walking around the library hunting for their newest read. I love when the students almost run up to the circulation desk, thrilled to show me their latest selection. I do my best to keep have the books available that the kids want, but I have to spread my budget so far. The Wings of Fire books are a series which are requested multiple times a day. I purchased a paperback set, out of my own pocket, for my library. Once in circulation, they were never on the shelf again. Students filled out hold slips, and had to wait weeks for the desired book. Now with many students having their library books at home for months, I am afraid the paperback copies won't be returned at all. I want to provide my students with the books they are begging to read.
