These materials will help my students immensely! OT is all about learning through play! My students will not only be more motivated to practice their pre-writing and handwriting skills by using sensory media like tactile letters, play dough stamps, and scented craft materials, but significantly less repetition is needed when practicing letter formation through play than just rote handwriting practice. Sensory tools like the letter tiles, wiggle writer, and liquid viewers will provide my students the sensory input they need to better attend in class and regulate their bodies. Materials like the snap dinosaur and alphabots help my students build the finger and hand strength they need to manipulate writing tools. ELA.K.1
