Proprioception is the body’s ability to sense its location, movements, and actions. The items that I have chosen for this project will help my students focus their bodies and help them return to the classroom and be able to attend to their teacher's lessons. There are items needed like a balance beam, a tumbling mat for rolling on, as well as resistance bands for the students to pull and work their muscles. Another item in the project is the exercise step that will be used for students to jump up and down from. These items will help my learners refocus their bodies for learning. They will be able to release some built-up tension and energy that is keeping them from being able to focus on their teacher's lessons and will allow them to return to the classroom and be ready to learn. These sensory circuit items will provide my students with a safe space to express themselves.
