These books and writing materials will be available to students in the classroom to use, take home and read. Students can create their own learning pathways by having been given a choice in what, how and where they read. By giving them more opportunities for them to read for pleasure, students will improve their vocabulary and their comprehension. They will become more comfortable in challenging themselves to read other texts, and improving their learning in other subject areas. Students also develop their identities during this time. By giving them the composition books to use to explore, question, and reflect, they will have a tool they can use later.
