This year's students provided me excellent feedback about what a classroom should look and feel like for optimum learning as we enter a new phase in teaching; some in class time with some online learning. I want our classroom to provide a learning sanctuary for students. Centering the room with a geometric rug for small group gatherings, and providing learning stations with stools and other optional seating will promote the best environment for engaging activities. Having a reading area with bookshelves, another colorful rug, and floor cushions will enhance students' ELA experiences. It's essential that I provide an atmosphere in which children will feel engaged and supported.
