These assessment folders will assist students by helping them focus on their assignment and ignoring distractions from around the classroom. All students have varying needs, and being able to focus on the task at hand will encourage students to do their best. Students who are more high energy will benefit, because it draws their attention to the specified task, as well as those who are wanting a quiet place to do their best thinking. Although there are assessments that students complete on the computer, in areas such as math, I see better results when students use paper and pencil. After learning at home for some or most of last school year, it is imperative that I give my students a stable learning environment where they are able to do their best. Being able to have them focus their attention will allow me to assess them accurately, and give them the extra boost or enrichment that they show me they need.
