Although my students are at home and not in schools learning due to their medical conditions, I never thought that I would also be at home teaching them. My students and I have been working diligently utilizing virtual resources since March 13. However, the laptop that I currently have will not all me to access the microphone or video and I often have to FaceTime my students individually in order to explain content and assignments. I do not have an iPad and I need an iPad to help bring content related videos to my students. My students would benefit if I had an iPad and Chromebook to prepare my lessons and participate in our virtual classroom with my students.
When our schools do open back up, my students will still be on homebound due to their medical conditions and most of my students will continue with distance learning because they are medically fragile and vulnerable.
The project will benefit my students during the school closure as well as after schools open back up.
