Unfortunately, this high demand for equitable technology access comes at the end of the fiscal year, putting great strain on the finances of a small charter school such as ours. With uncertainty in the new school year, we are planning for hybrid learning. The Promethean interactive white board will allow our students to experience the feeling of engaging with their peers in hybrid classroom interactions. Many of our families do not have access to the technology that we need at this time. We want to make things equal for our students and offer them the technology that they need to be successful at school during this difficult time. The Promethean board will help us to stay connected with our students across distance learning, share notes and presentations in an equitable fashion, and increase the engagement in and out of the classroom in a time when instability and hardship compete with school engagement.
