My students are eager to learn, but often overwhelmed by the pace and amount of information digested each day.
When faced with challenging tasks, my students welcome the tools of Growth Mindset/Mindfulness, and classroom routines in order to reach their goals.
STAR Folders stand for Students Taking Academic Responsibility. These folders are three-pronged so that important class resources are safely stored inside to be used at home and in the classroom. (i.e. multiplication charts, login and password information, classroom guidelines and goals, Reading Response Prompts, and Vocabulary lists).
Book Bins are a means for students to safely and appropriately transition to reading workshop time. Students will be able to keep track of their library books in these bins and transport them to their work station.
Our classroom is in need of more whiteboards and clipboards to allow for quick assessment, opportunities to learn around the room and outside, as well as engagement and motivation. It is a goal to have both enough of these and an equitable resource to be shared.
Other resources are beneficial for supplying students with individual materials, and building interactive notebooks.
Thank you for your investment in our 4th Grade students as they make this transition to greater independence while navigating the return to schools!
