I am a recent graduate who recently got my first teaching position at the school that I went to elementary at! Not many can say they get to start their career as an educator where their education journey began! Unfortunately, I have been a full time student, so I haven't been working. I will be teaching first grade and I am big on organization, especially being a first year teacher, as well as creating my own graphic organizers and word walls with words they will be learning throughout the year. I carefully chose these materials to help me create colorful graphic organizers and visuals for my students, as well as using the markers and sharpies for various reasons that will enhance the classroom as a whole. These visuals will help scaffold students learning as they gain new skills and concepts. Of course, I believe including color creates a positive learning environment, so my classroom is rainbow themed and I plan on having colorful visuals that will benefit my students. The future of the world is in this classroom. For me, I will be starting from scratch, and with these materials, I could create a positive learning environment where my students will feel safe, welcome, and motivated. These materials, such as the storage bins and files, will also give me the chance to organize all my materials for easy access which will help with smooth transitions between activities.
