These kindergartners are RESILIENT! Many of them had their very first experience with school last year at the start of the pandemic. These young scholars are still dealing with the emotional stress of COVID-19, and I am looking to provide them with a space in our classroom to help with those big emotions. Having a quiet space with books and fidgets can help students learn mechanisms for self-regulation and feel like their emotions and feelings are validated by their teacher and peers. My students would greatly benefit from this new addition to our classroom space!
