These books will help me to create a reading centered classroom that I have been striving for. Most students do not enjoy reading by the time the reach my classroom, but having books that relate to things that they may be going through or is relevant to the world around us allows me to pull them in and engage them. With these books, students will be able to learn and understand themselves as it deals with the loss of innocence and the ideas of identity which run rampant through the halls of the middle school. My hope is to provide these students with books that are both appropriate for their reading level and their interests.

About my class
