Students will use rulers and protractors to better understand the state standards as well as the different uses of measurement all around them through hands-on activities. They will use rulers to understand the difference between customary and metric units of measure. Through the use of protractors, they will explore the degrees of acute, obtuse, and right angles and the degrees of a circle. By having rulers and protractors in a kit, our students and families will have the tools needed to understand or review concepts that may be challenging for them. To have these resources readily available is invaluable in empowering students and supporting teachers as we adjust to these changing times.
