With everything going on in our world and our country right now, I want to do my part by educating myself and my students about issues going on, and how we can start from a young age to make a change in this world! "Chocolate Me" celebrates and encourages students of color to love themselves. "Little Legends", and "Little Leaders" will show students the amazing things that Black men and women in history have accomplished, and inspires them to be like them! "Teach Your Dragon About Diversity" will help other students see that the fact that we may be of a different culture, race, or ability is something to be celebrated! All of these books will help students learn, connect, and love themselves and each other more. "Now is the time to open the doors of opportunity to all of God's children" - MLK No one, especially children, should ever have to feel like they are unsafe or unloved because of the color of their skin.
