After my first year of teaching I realized I lacked the needed manipulatives to help my students further their understanding. With these items the students will be able to learn hands-on. My students are noticeably more engaged when they are learning hands on. These items will be used as whole group and small group instruction. Using these will allow the students to have a better understanding of the skills being taught rather than just learning off a worksheet. My students already have shown an astonishing interest in mathematics, and this project will only help enrich their experiences hands-on.
