I am trying to build up my classroom library as I am transitioning to being an ELA teacher with fifth graders. I wanted books that would be interesting for my students to help capture their interest in reading so they would want to continue it out of the classroom. I added a mix of old classics, as well as contemporary books I have seen other fifth graders read. These books will be available for my students to borrow and love while they are in my classroom. Hopefully, one will capture their interest and encourage a love of reading I hope to share with them.
