Please help me create a classroom library that will display diversity. I recently read a quote from Rudine Sims Bishop that says, "Children need books that are mirrors that allow them to see themselves and their own experiences, windows that they can look through to see other worlds that they can then compare to their own, and sliding glass doors that allow them to enter other worlds." My hope is that the sentence above will ring true through the books in my classroom that I can read digitally to them and that they will help all of my students to feel loved and accepted.
