These resources will make a difference in my students' learning by offering them the opportunity to participate in rich discussion that illuminates issues of global awareness through the lens of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. The text broadens their understanding of and builds their appreciations for a global world and all of its people, especially in a school system that lacks diversity. Being able to take a school copy of the book home for independent reading will allow students to read, discuss, and connect socially as they share their insights about the book with other book club readers, their families, their peers, and their teachers.
