Kindergarten is much more than handing a student a pencil and a piece of paper. We use materials daily to help the students learn in an engaging and fun way. Dry-erase boards, highlighters, dice and wikki stix are some of the items that we use very often in my classroom. We usually use these items in center rotations. Next year, it is important that each student have their own supplies in their toolboxes. My goal is that each student have their own materials to use when needed. It is important that kindergarten students have hands-on activities, even if the rules of our learning environment have changed a little bit.
