As a new teacher, I strive to create an environment that serves the needs of my diverse learners through hands on, differentiated learning opportunities. I hope for them to be able to take ownership of their learning by engaging in independent activities that are specific to their skill set and areas of struggle. My students are exposed to technology daily, through morning work, Language Arts and Math centers, or Science and Social Studies research. By introducing iPad's into the classroom, students will have the opportunity to explore educational apps and participate in shared research activities. The access to new technology will also allow me to assess students on their progress. I will then be able to analyze this data to plan for future lessons.
