My classroom, though colorful and inviting, lacks a good area for my students to come together for story time or for short mini-lessons. The floors are tile and can be very cold and uncomfortable to sit on for very long. By having the big, colorful carpet, it would give my students a great place to sit and learn. They could also use the big carpet space for doing buddy reading and working together. The carpet would be a fun, inviting learning space for my students to listen to a lesson from me or to use the space to work together on an activity.
