Having a big enough table will create space that is much needed to assist with guided reading, math and writing help, specific interventions for individuals and groups, and they will have the room they deserve to be able to access as much help with learning as possible. I believe that the learning environment should be inviting and suited to various needs. By creating a specific space, with more room for students, this will transform into an oasis for students and teachers. Longer tables make it easier to have room for various activities, both with my students and as a small group when they work together. I love having my students closer to me across the table to better initiate contact for help and cooperation.
