Science in the Classroom is a project that will assist my ELL students with an open door view of science. The materials will allow the girls to hear instruction in their language (Bangla, Arabic and Spanish). It will allow the girls to make those necessary connections with their learning. The technology items needed for this project will enhance their learning. Headphones and tablets are just a few items. Others: seeds, bags, charts, markers, plant pots are other items needed. Our goal is to show that we can create a greenhouse in our classroom and be successful doing so. We will share our research finds with our school and others. Students will allows be making home connections by monitoring growth, changes, time of water, sunlight and or shade given/needed. Students will also have parent participation for this project. This why the technology piece is so important because my parents are not English speakers.
