In 3rd grade, we complete novel studies as a great way to teach a wide variety of reading skills! Often times, these novel studies reach all students; those who already love reading and those who are still developing an interest in reading. Third grade is the age in which many students find their “niche” in reading. They find a genre or series that they can become passionate about. This is a pivotal time in a child’s lifelong reading journey! When students have the book that they are learning about in their hands, there are so many doors to learning that open!

About my class
