Personal storage will help my students learn responsibility and independence. Having to ability to care for their supplies will help my students gain independence and ownership in the classroom. When students have ownership in the classroom they take pride in their work! Taking ownership of their space and their supplies will help my students feel welcome in the classroom which helps create a sense of community. The classroom community is an important aspect to helping students feel safe at school and like they belong. A lot of times kindergarten is our student's first chance to exercise their independence and feel pride in their work. This is an important step to help students feel success at school and create a life long love of learning.

About my class
