S.O.F.T. will allow citizens to practice proper hygiene by controlling the spread of viruses and bacteria. While 95% of people claim to practice proper hand hygiene, studies show that only 67% of people practice any sort of hand hygiene in public places. Research tells us that up to 80% of communicable diseases are transferred by touch, such as the handle of a faucet. My students want to design a self-sanitizing faucet. This faucet will self sanitize between each use and hopefully cut down on the spreading of germs through touch.

About my class
