I would like to have a class set of ukuleles available to teach the upper grades how to both read and play music. Students have so much to deal with in this world; let's teach them a way to handle it all. This empowers them, as they can take control of their own learning and create! Music enhances brain function!! Giving students a fun and creative outlet for stress will help not only them as individuals but enhance learning in all subjects. This is a great way to build confidence and to give them the opportunity to learn to manage stress levels.
