As an elementary assistant principal, I want to provide our students with an area where they can go to regulate their emotions and return to class with minimal instructional time lost. My goal is for students to have a spot to help reset their emotions so they are ready to go back to class. Donations will be used to help students regulate their emotions in a safe private place and return to class ready to learn. The materials selected will provide students with a comfortable spot to help reset their day. The art tile multi colored mats and comfy floor seating will provide students with a semi-private designated space. Additional wall space will be used to hang meaningful signage to help self-regulate and become aware of the emotions they are feeling. The storage unit will be used to organize tangible calm down tools.
