Being a math teacher during this pandemic has been challenging through the delivery of lessons in a virtual environment. As a math teacher, I have to present the students with step by step procedures to solving and approaching a problem. The iPad and Apple Pencil will help me to effectively utilize the whiteboard tool in Microsoft Teams to address the challenge of demonstrating difficult math problems. Math problems involving finding surface area and volume of figures will come to life because I can write and draw them to make it easier for students to understand. But wait, there's more! In addition to helping with distance learning, the iPad and Apple Pencil will help me faciliate classroom instruction. With this wireless tool, I can simultaneously observe students while they work and demonstrate problems on the board. Furtermore, I can use the iPad to eliminate the need for paper files and move to digital bookkeeping like parent contact, grades, and weekly planners.
