We will use these books for guided reading, read aloud's, and in our classroom library. Students will relate to and be inspired by the characters in the books. Because of the diversity within this literature, the students will learn about the differences of others. Representation matters! Not only will my students be reading books they can relate to, but books starring POC, disabled, and all gender characters. All represented just may give this generation the ability to use their voices and stand up for themselves and the people around them.
