Technology is one of the driving forces in education and life. Using devices like tablets, other hand-held devices, laptops are useful tools because it allows teachers to teach and students innovative ways to learn such as academics, entrepreneurship and giving them a fair opportunity to compete in a global economy. Technology allows for accommodations, adaptability, and motivation.
Most of my students come from economically disadvantaged families, as well as impoverished communities. During this Covid 19 Pandemic, our school was able to give out laptops as loaners but they ran out of devices.
The majority of my students do not have computers at home. The computers will assist my students in participating in distance learning via Zoom, completing assignments and turning them in, having assess to online teaching manipulatives and endless resources such as dictionaries, tutoring videos and so much more.
Please help my students continue to technologically move beyond the twenty-first century. We will be forever grateful.
