Although we have a beautiful building, many needs such as classroom technology have not been upgraded in several years. My students are amazing designers, but much of their work is limited to in-classroom learning, as the district-provided technology devices (Chromebooks) cannot be used with our professional level Adobe software suite. As talented, working designers, my students produce professional quality graphic design and social media marketing to local businesses. Unfortunately, their work becomes impossible to complete outside of the classroom. My computer lab is comprised of stationary desktop computers. An iPad Air with an Apple Pencil will provide my students the most up to date and portable design tool, literally at their fingertips. Portability is key as a student phases in and out of the classroom environment. My students, past and present, have reiterated many times how valuable the skills they learn in our design and marketing classes have been, both in their general education classes and in college and beyond. I want nothing more than to provide my students with the tools that give them the most creative success, no matter where they happen to be learning! This project will never be possible without your help.
