Purchasing a stackable washer and dryer will give my students the tools to learn and practice an important lifelong skill. Not only will they be able to actively participate in the care of personal belongings, but as a part of the high school, my students offer a laundry service to the art classes, health room and fitness program. Skills that they may learn while doing laundry include sorting, measuring, operating a machine, folding and decision-making, to name a few. Your donation will allow access for all of our young adults to become successful in this functional skill both at home and in the school community.

About my class
