It is critical to a child's success in school to understand what is being asked of them and how to respond to it. By sending children homework in both Spanish and English children will progress in the English learning levels while advancing in their overall development in comprehension and expression of their thoughts and ideas regardless of the language they are speaking in. It also allows the children's parents - who often do not speak English - understand what the child is working on and allows them to help their child with their homework. Remote learning is the most successful when it is done in a way to make parents partners in the process.
