I am a first year teacher in a self-contained special education classroom. The balance ball chairs and mini trampoline I am requesting will be beneficial to their success in my classroom. By having flexible seating allows my students to sit comfortably while remaining engaged in the lessons. Several of my students have annual goals of sitting at a table for a teacher-led task for five minutes; these chairs will help my students reach their goals. The mini trampoline would be a great addition to my classroom as several of my students have autism and are hyperactive. This can be used as as sensory break, earned as a reward, or another way to get their wiggles out to start the day. Being a first year teacher is overwhelming and wanting to provide the perfect environment for my kiddos would not be possible without people making my dream a reality!
