These materials will be used for students to get a real-life look at what an owl eats. Students will disect owl pellets, using tools and protective equipment, to find and classify bones found. On day 1 students will learn about the types of owls that live in their own backyard! Learning about the owls in our region will help students make connections to the wildlife in their community. On day 2 we will talk about what owls eat and how they find their food. This is where the fun begins. We will begin our owl pellet disection Students will be able to see first hand what an owl has eaten!
