My project involves acquiring an iPad and an Osmo Starter Kit for my students to use to add to their learning! Oftentimes I use manipulatives to appeal to the more kinesthetic learners; however, some students need the extra push to digital for the lesson to be effective. For example, a lesson I would possibly use the Osmo and iPad for would be in math when we put together Tangram shapes as we discuss the different features of each shape in the picture. As we discuss the different shapes, I often have the students move the shapes while they interpret how many sides, angles, and vertices the shapes have. This new interpretation of a Tangram or a word using the resources in the kit as well as the iPad would emphasize the lesson and be all inclusive to the students' learning. Each student I feel would benefit from the different resources in the kit during an ELA or Math lesson.
