This project is focused on providing students with an inviting and cozy classroom with a focus on our classroom library and calms down corner/area. In my English Language Arts classroom, I want to provide my students with flexible seating arrangements and engaging literature for independent reading time. The Echo Dot will be used for reading aloud during listening time. I want to make sure that the emotional needs of all my students are met. During the pandemic, there have been many uncertainties and I feel that it is my responsibility as an educator to ensure that my students' social-emotional needs are met. I plan to implement a calm-down corner where my students may go when they need a break. I will provide comfortable seating, fidgets, and they may use the Echo to set a timer and play calming music.
