Flexibility in a classroom is the key to success. Kids learn in all different ways and modes. In my classroom, I like to differentiate and work with a small group of kids on a particular element. A horseshoe shaped table will give me a place to teach a small group and be able to see what each child is doing easily. Having a workspace for kids to work collaboratively is important in a well balanced classroom. Collaborative groups and partnerships are some of the best way for kids to learn. Flexible seating and tables give students a place to work together without disturbing the rest of the class.
