The T in STEAM stands for technology. Using robots to teach coding is a very effective way to help students understand how computers use code. Computer programming is in high demand in today's workforce and teaching technology skills at young ages will be very beneficial to our future graduates. The Bee Bot, Coding Mouse, and Dash Bot will help the younger students that I teach in STEM class to experience basic coding. The Sphero Bots and Botley Bots will help the upper grades design, create, and execute patterns and mazes, maybe even help them create an app. We will also use these bots to do math, language arts, and Hour of Code during STEAM class. I plan on setting the room up into stations. Technology will be a station the students can choose to go to and explore.
