I'm excited to create my "Under the Sea" themed classroom for my first graders! I picture them excited to read new books in Reader's Reef and Catching Kindness in the fishing net in one corner of the room. Creating a fun and engaging room will be a great start to the year! I've also included different materials that my students can use for phonics, writing, guided reading, math, science, and as calm down tools. It's so important to create hands-on engaging lessons for students and these materials will allow me to do so!
