Everyone loves to hear or read a good book. My students do too! In this virtual world, we are learning to expand our horizons and read tangible copy of a book as well as read books online. My students love to use any free time to get online and choose a book to read or listen to. When students have headphones, they can listen to their stories without distracting others around them. Often times students come in at the beginning of the year with earbuds and they get tore up pretty quickly. Most of my students come from low-income homes and can't afford to replace their child's earbuds/headphones when they tear up or get lost. If we had a class set, students wouldn't have to worry about weather or not they can afford to get more because they would always have them in class.
