These items were chosen very thoughtfully, as I have taught more several years now, students with special abilities. These games and hands on activities will provide my students with the ability to learn with a hands on approach that will also translate onto paper and in general when using their skills outside of the classroom. My students get excited when they don't know they are learning! Students with special abilities love to create, have fun, and learn. The goal of these games will be to utilize them to teach a functional skill alongside an academic skill to be able to meet their Individual Education Plans set by the Special Education department. By Using their hands, they will create a balance of cognitive and physical learning that is important for those with Autism. They will use these in a group or individual setting with a unique method of praise and reward system. They will get this chance by using bright and creative activities that will keep them thinking.
