In my classroom, I often meet with students one-on-one or in small groups. My students learn better in that type of setting. Rectangle tables make it difficult for me to see the work of the students sitting furthest away from me. A semi-circle table will permit me to easily assist all students in my small group thus creating a better teaching/learning environment. In math, it's very important that students are working each step of the problem correctly. I need to be able to see their work as they are completing the problems, and being in closer proximity to students will allow me to better do this!
