Our school, being built in 1953, is outdated and has very little room for storage. It has been a challenge every year to find a place to store and organize 18-25 students' personal supplies along with necessary classroom supplies. Sanitation has always been a battle in the elementary classroom, however this year's COVID-19 pandemic has also presented teachers with the challenge of storing everything in a way that prevents the spread of harmful germs. By donating to our project, you will not only be helping students stay organized, you will also be helping us to reduce the spread of germs. In years past, folders, notebooks, pencils and other commonly used school supplies have been stored all together in one place. This means that the all of the children's supplies were together and pesky germs could hop from one student's supplies to another. Individual seat sacks will allow for students to house their own supplies (and their own germs) at their own desk. An added bonus to these seat sacks is that they are durable, and machine washable. This means they can be used for more than one school year!
