My students love reading and listening to stories in the art room. Illustrators help stories come to life. In turn, my students use their art to bring their own stories to life. In addition, students gain literacy skills when they make meaningful connections to the stories they read and hear. Please help us expand our classroom library to include more books by diverse authors so that all my students can see themselves represented in the stories and pictures they experience in the classroom. Representation matters, and I want all of my students to see that their stories are important.
