My Eckrich Extra Yard teacher grant project: Bringing learning to life! Help me create an engaging classroom for my diverse group of students! Use for each of the materials requested: Kidney table - I currently use a table that someone created out of plywood. It is unstable and if a student leans across it to get a pencil or something it topples over. Storage products : Allow students space to put their important papers to go home and more easily pack-up at the end of the day. Epson printer: Our printer continually goes down for weeks at a time and we only have access to black and white printing. This allows direct access to printing of articles and info for students in the classroom. Whiteboard holder: I have limited whiteboard space for teacher use. With this product, I will be able to turn small groups into an engaging time and present information easier for visual learners. Lined paper: On average my classroom goes through 30 packs of lined paper a year for various writing or center projects, that are all purchased out of my own pocket. Other office materials: create durable products for students to use for many years and organize them for student use. Plastic storage bins: gives students a place to keep their supplies. Yoga balls and frisbee: allow students active movement in the classroom and help with focus at seats. Flexible seating options: allow students active movement in the classroom throughout different areas of the classroom. Paper: add excitement and engagement to projects and interactive notebooks. Binding machine and coils: create student made books and resources. Writing tablets: student engagement in all lessons with no mess. Books: graphic novels to engage young readers. TPT gift cards: supply more interactive learning opportunities for the classroom.
