I meet with my students daily via Google Meet. During our meetings, I teach new first grade concepts such as place value, measurements, 2D and 3D shapes, adding and subtracting 2 digit numbers, among others. In addition, we play educational games, such as Sight Word Bingo, Math Jeopardy, ELA Jeopardy, Math Bingo, and Word Puzzle. My students love learning, participating, and collaborating during our online learning activities. I ask my students to have paper and pencil ready to complete the activities. My students will use the materials listed (counting cubes, notebooks, and personal whiteboards) to count, solve addition and subtraction problems, measure objects, create different shapes, write sentences, and draw stories. These tools will allow my students to develop and practice the first-grade standards during and after our virtual meetings. I am so proud of my students and the effort they put. They miss each other so much and our daily meetings are full of love, laugher, and collaboration. They have such extraordinary potential and they are so nice to each other. This project will allow my students to have the resources they need to continue learning using different tools that we had in our classroom.
