Having these extra snacks will help my students stay focused during distance learning. Many of our students do not have enough food to eat and rely heavily on the free and reduced lunches while school is in session to be able to eat. Many of the students also receive snack bags over the weekend so that they can have food over the next few days. During distance learning, these students are relying heavily on the meals delivered by the school volunteers and the donations handed out at the local food banks. My belief is that these snack bags will help the students, if only for a little while, fill their bellies and stay on task with their work.
