When young children are introduced to school through a PreK program, it is essential that it is a pleasant and memorable experience. This first experience is going to set the tone for the rest of their school years. It is crucial that these youngest students are allowed to learn in a variety of ways. Hands-on learning materials are needed to support students as they actively engage their senses to explore and learn. This year, my students will start school virtually. The materials funded will help to bridge the gap of a school-like atmosphere to the virtual learning environment at home. They will address the skills and concepts related to the PreK Objectives for Development and Learning.
